Condition: Mahogany and curly maple veneered case in very nice condition, refinished some time ago. The painted tablets and mirror are modern replacements. Wooden finials have some age and may be original, but you normally find this case with a larger version of a Terry type finial. Original painted dial has some crazing and minor loss at the mounting pins. Hands are brass and appear to be original. Has a typical Ives iron plate, roller pinion movement with large wheels. Complete and sound. For information on Looking Glass clocks, see K. Roberts book on Ives (1970) pages 45-58, mov't pictured on page 56. Ht. 46.5"
