Condition: Mahogany veneered case in nice condition with very old and possibly original finish. There are some minor veneer repairs and a little damage to the left carved ionic column top. Mirror is a replacement. Top glass is original, but cracked in the lower left corner. Original painted dial has some paint and gesso loss. Main hands are original. Early period movement not mounted on seatboard (proper). There are two period pineapple finials, not original to case, but have been there a long time. Ivory escutcheon now replaced with wood. Backboard is cracked; iron bell loose. Label This is the same model movement that was used in a Salem Bridge pillar and scroll. Ht. 29.75"
