Condition: Mahogany veneered case in extra nice condition in original finish with veneer damage confined to one small area just above the bottom door, a chip on the front edge of the base , at the bottom door handle and a very small area on the very top. Original painted dial has small stress cracks and minor loss at the mounting pins. Hands are original. Both original tablets are extra nice with a little loss to the frosting on the upper tablet. Nice clean label inside the case. Movement is signed. An example of this clock can be found in Ken Roberts publication on "The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology 1810-1862", pg. 234, and another example in Distin and Bishop The American Clock, fig 266, pg 128.
