C.1850, French, time and bell strike 4-pillar empire style, gilt brass case with knife edge suspension, mantel clock, 8-day, with cover. Condition: Original porcelain dial is perfect and the moon hands are original. Retains original grid iron pendulum . Ormolu case is in very good condition, with minor wear to the gilding on the corners. This clock stood in one of Dana's guest rooms. Runs and strikes. Well made glazed case has brass corners and fits to a wooden base. Ht of clock 15.5" total ht 18"
