Condition: the mahogany veneered case is basically in very good original condition, with some veneer repairs to the door, and with original scrolls and feet intact. The original tablet is cracked, still has old border.. the center scene of buildings was painted in around 20 years ago, and not a proper theme for this clock. The finials are later hollow replacements. The dial is original to the case and painted surface and corners are original, however the numerals and chapter ring were blacked over and not too well. Good movement is complete and sound. Best part is the superior label with complete instructions + census figures for 1820, (9,648,453) covering states in total and Connecticut by city. Height 29.5 inches
