Condition: Marble, cast spelter and sheet metal case in very nice condition with most of the original gilding intact. Original porcelain dial is perfect and the hands are original. Serial number on the movement and pendulum match. Note this clock and dome were received by Dana around 1965, and he has scribed the story in a brass plaque screwed to the bottom of the base, however the scribing is too small to photograph. See foto of clock on Dana's parlor mantel, with mirror behind, where it stood for 43 years. Movement is signed. For reference, see Tran Ly's book titled Kroeber Clocks, page 418, fig 1460, titled "Gilt and Alabaster No. 120". Ly 2006 price guide $1500. Ht. of clock only, 18.5", with dome and base 23"
