Condition: Mahogany case with brass inlay in very nice condition with an old finish. There is a shrinkage crack in the center panel and a stress crack on the upper edge of the left side panel. Original painted dial is very clean with a slight amount of wear at the winding arbors. Hands are original. Case houses a large heavy plate chain-drive fusee movement, chiming on 4 gongs and striking the hours on a 5th deep toned gong. The pend bob is original; Dana has added an invar rod that can be changed back if desired Ht. 24.5"
