C.1880, Welch, Spring and Co., "Gerster, V.P.", 8-day time/strike mantel clock. Enclosed is a letter with the history of the owners of this clock. This clock was given to a Dr. Garben in 1940 from Mrs. Frank Gustavino Gulden, Jr., who were the same family that originated Gulden's Mustard. Condition: Rosewood case in very nice condition in original finish. Original dial has been repainted by the Dial House, and a repair to the top left finial. The dial grommet on the left side has been replaced. Hands, gilt tablet and pendulum are original. Dark label on the back. Overall a nice example of this model.
