Condition: this clock has stood for years in the Blackwell parlor, just off the entry hall, since 1955 [Dana's entry on case] and is in running order. Photo shows the clock standing in the Blackwell house. Dial center is prominently signed Fladgate, London, above the date aperture, and with nice floral spandrels. Britten's [Ed. Baillie], lists John and Wilder Fladgate as active clockmakers from 1743-85. Height 98 inches as shown, or 94" with finial removed.
