with printed paper over tin top and bottom dials with top having Roman on chapter ring, ticks marking outer minute ring with bold every 5 minutes, calendar dial marked H.B. Horton's/Patent/April 18th, 1865, and August 28th, 1866./Ithaca Calendar Clock Co./Ithaca, N.Y. with Arabic on chapter ring and cut-away windows with cut-out above center from viewing pendulum, left with days and right with months on revolving drums. 8-day time and strike spring driven movement marked E.N. Welch/Forestville, Ct./U.S.A. and Made For The/Ithaca Cal. Clock Co.. In walnut Gothic steeple-form case with squared 3/4-columns and blocked base, with original turned finial, 5.5" x 12" x 25.25" high, includes key and pendulum. (Duy Ly, 1993: 153, figs 389-390) Condition report Old refinishing with good color, wear and heavy retouching to top dial, slight damage to jig saw cut-out facing at margins, currently running. We do not guarantee working order of clocks.
