enameled dial with Roman on chapter ring, outer minute ring marked with ticks, bold every 5 minutes, brass bezel with beveled cover glass, brass 8-day time and strike spring driven movement marked Japy Freres & Cie Grd. Med. D'Honneur/2634, rear bezel with beveled glass and stamped E.B and flanked by two 5-pointed stars, set in a polished black marble (slate) case, 4.75" x 7.75" x 8.75" high and in a fitted oak case with locking door, with green felt lining and slot to hold pendulum with brass bail handle at top, 6.5" x 9.25" x 10.4" high.
