with printed paper dial on tin with Roman numerals on chapter ring, outer ring with minute ticks and diamonds and triangles at 10 minute marks with entwined SEJ in circle marked above VI with brass foil surround stamped Pat. 10, 1859, winding squares at III & VIII. Brass time and strike spring-driven movement stamped The Sessions Clock Co. / U.S.A. / Forestville, Conn. with period ornate cast pendulum and brass key. Rosewood and mixed wood case is beehive-form with figure eight door with bull's-eye rosettes flanking center. Interior with original printed label for Ingraham Clock Co./Bristol, Conn.. Original tablet with black and gilt eglomise ground and gilt and polychrome transfer print of British royal Coat of Arms with crossed flags, arms and shields, flanked by lion and eagle, with clear window below for pendulum with gilt surround, stepped-out base,4.25" x 10.5" x 18". Condition report As above, refinished with slight foxing to dial and slight loss to tablet. Currently running; we do not guarantee working order of clocks.
