pre-WWII or WWII era wall-mounted timepiece made to government specifications for the U.S. Maritime Commission with Chelsea's improved "micrometer" worm gear regulator. In black phenolic resin case with hinged bezel and small .5" knurled screw knob fastener, silvered 6", 12-hour dial with black numerals, black enamel spade hands, sweep second hand and fast-slow regulator. Marked on the dial Chelsea Clock Co. / Boston and U.S. Maritime Commission / Ser No. 6448. Includes key.
