manufactured 1/19/1918 (Serial No. 111904) by the Chelsea Clock Co., and shipped to Harris and Harrington, boat builders, Harris Creek, Baltimore, Maryland. Solid brass with Arabic numerals. Marked on the dial Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A. / Ship's Bell and on back of the case with 111904 / 507 and on brass pad Patented Dec. 31, 1901 / No. 689899 / Chelsea Clock Co. / Boston, U.S.A.; 10.75" diameter. Sells with brass master key. Patent No. 689899 refers to the case, which was designed by Walter K. Menns of Chelsea, Massachusetts as assignor to Charles H. Pearson, of Brookline, Massachusetts, with the application filed May 10, 1900 and patented Dec. 31, 1901. Condition report Flange of case has dent which can be straightened; VG.
