Farmington Ct. Shelf Clock, 8-day time and strike, weight-driven, wooden works. Painted wooden dial, Arabic numerals, gilt center garter and scrollwork spandrels. Mahogany case with carved half columns and scroll-cut splat. Columns with acanthus leaves separated by turned, spiraled sections. Spread-winged eagle splat with foliage background, flanked by plain plinths. Replaced polychrome-painted tablet with Gothic revival mansion in park-like setting with bronzed palm leaf surround. Original paper label. 18.5" wide x 5.5" deep x 37" high.Ex Paul A. Heffner Collection.As above, refinished & portions of crest are new replacements, VG.
