30-hour wood and brass, five-wheeled train movement, patented in 1823, polychrome-painted wood dial, Roman numerals and gilt scrollwork. Mahogany with curly maple plinths, original brass urn finials, wonderfully complete printed paper label. Original tin can pulley caps and tinned iron plate on back, typical of this firm. Tablet has original glass, appears to have expertly repainted, landscape with house. A classic pillar and scroll; 17.5" wide x 5.5" deep x 31" high.Ex J.R.
