8-day time and strike, weight-driven, strap brass movement with rack & snail striking and lantern pinions. Painted wooden dial with lunate cutout at escapement with gilt scrollwork center and spandrels. Mahogany case with acanthus-carved half columns in lower and upper sections and turned full columns in center. Carved splat with fruit basket with foliage surround, flanked by plain plinths, paw feet. Double door with dial door over fixed middle tablet with replaced country courthouse-type building in lawn-type setting with bronzed fruit and flower surround; lower door with tablet mate to above with two Greek Revival houses. Label fragmentary; 17.25" wide x 5" deep x 37" high.Ex Paul A. Heffner Collection.As above, refinished, else VG+.
