8-day time and strike, weight-driven, wooden works. Painted wooden dial, Roman numerals, polychrome-painted vintage center and gilt pinwheel spandrels. Mahogany case with brown over yellow smoke-grained half columns, gilt capitals and bases, re-stenciled scroll-cut splat, flanked by plain plinths. Excellent large divided replacement tablet, top half with circular medallion with cottage at river's edge, gilt border with bronzed roses and leaf surround; lower half with oak branches. Original cleaned finish and paper label. 18.5" x 5.25" deep x 38.75" high.Ex Paul A. Heffner Collection.As above and 50% of veneer on lower door and frame is replaced, VG.
