8-day time, strike, day of the week and month spring-driven brass movement with 7.5" gold on black printed dials, one above the other top dial with Roman numerals and Pat. Dec. 28, 1876 lower dial with Made By/Seth Thomas Clock Co./Patented Feb. 15, 1876; arch top door with original gilt Fashion; walnut case with original finish, cove-moulded base with side-mounted full turned columns with arched pediment and three finials; missing all finials. Interior with original lock blocks to bolt pendulum to back for transportation; 16.25" wide x 6.5" deep x 27.5" high. See Tran Duy Ly 1996; fig. 140.From the Estate of John Auraden of Hamilton & Fairhaven, Ohio.As above and some paint loss on top dial, still VG.
