In a mahogany and poplar case with a scroll-cut crest, applied half columns, and paw feet. In an old finish, with its original stenciling on the columns and a period, reverse-painted tablet. The 30-hour wooden works have a gilt dial with Roman numerals and scrollwork. Ca 1830; 31" high x 17.5" wide x 5" deep. George Goodloe Harper Blakeslee (b. 1806) was the brother of clockmakers Marvin, Edward, and Garret Blakeslee. Condition report Old, partial refinish, one column somewhat loose. We do not guarantee the working order of clocks.
