in mahogany with oak and pine secondary woods. The hood has a broken-arch pediment and reeded columns with brass capitals. The case has inlaid stringing, an inlaid shell on the door, an inlaid vase and flowers on the base, canted corners, and bracket feet. The brass works are signed Hardwick Ashwick (Richard Hardwick of Ashwick, Somerset, late 18th century) and have an iron and brass dial with decorated spandrels; 81" high x 17.75" wide x 9.5" deep. Condition report Old refinish, new glass and finial on the hood, other minor repairs.
