Condition: clock was restored around 1950 according to notes on rear of dial; additional notes indicate it was a Christmas present in 1841. Mahogany door has fine brass inlay; there are a couple of glue repairs to moldings; the case appears to have been varnished over; no evidence of stripping. The first item that will need attention is the dial, which has had the center in-painted and the numerals re-painted; the spandrels are original and excellent and the dial should be sent to the Dial House for proper restoration. And second the tablet is now clear with a print pasted in. An item of great interest. Height 22 inches
