Condition: the mahogany case has lost most of its original finish by sun bleaching and weekly dusting, plus there are nicks and scrapes on nearly every surface, however most of the grain is still closed. The dial is brass with a porcelain center, and with subsidiary dials for "musica and silencio" and for "cucu and tocar". Repair at left winding hole. In the arch is a painted scene of a red Spanish barn and in the center is a farmer at the gate, who moves aside to expose the detailed wooden cuckoo on the hour [bird with paint losses]. Movement recently cleaned and in good running order. There was an ornate example of his work on the cover of the April 2001 NAWCC Bulletin, and in Brader's book titled The Georgian Bracket Clock, page 156, also examples playing full melodies. Height 25 inches
