23 October 2024
Condition: the front and sides were nicely refinished by Sheldon Hoch, otherwise excellent original condition with original outer and inner dial (chapter ring is attached to the door), both upper glass and mirror tablet are original. Large and impressive brass movement with bell on top, similar to the size and quality found in tall case clocks, original hand forged brass hands. A nearly identical clock is pictured on p. 70 of "An Empire in Time" by Oechsle and Boyce. The only defects we can find are a small piece of wood missing by the bottom mirror on the left side, and the very top left return has been replaced. Ht = 37.5"
