Mid 20th Century, Thomas Mercer, Ltd, St. Albans, England (1858-1954), No. 1131, 8-Day Chronometer table clock. Has a mahogany case with ebony stringing along the perimeter of all sides. Has a running "stop" at 1, bubble level on top of case, hinged brass bezel for winding, 11 jewel full chronometer detent platform is visible from top of case. There is info on the internet regarding Mercer, as well as in Ehrhardt's book 5, pages 103 and 129. Condition: minor blemishes in finish here and there, minor nick on rear of case, running briskly, generally Excellent. Height 11.5 inches
