Condition: this clock comes with a letter from Joseph Burroughs from whom Mr. Hoch acquired the clock in 1972. The Bombay base has a crack clear across, some missing veneer that has been stained in, the gilt jacks on the hood are repros; carving top center is from another piece of furniture (looks ok). The dial is a composite of brasses with painted scene below, with a man fishing at the bottom [his pole moves up and down]. There is about 20% paint loss, mostly left side, other chips and flakes. The windmills are driven by a separate movement, lower right of dial, with a separate weight that needs to be lifted by pull cord. The dial also with both calendar and seconds ring below 12, and with moon phases showing above 6. Minute and hour hands are original; seconds hand a replacement. With a NY repair tag inside door. Height 106 inches
