C.1790, Swiss, Neuchatel Clock, 8-day GRAND SONNERIE, on two bells above, with hour and quarter snails on the rear plate, crown verge escapement, and silk thread suspension, also with simple calendar indication on the painted convex tin dial. Has string wound pull repeat also. Condition: overall very good condition for its age; the dial is original with minor touch up and some flakes. Pendulum, bells and hammers are all original; great original hands. The case finish appears to be old, with some touch up to the floral decorations; rear door has been replaced [using original hardware] A neat 18th Century clock. Height 25 inches
