Condition: the movement is of highest quality with a cast /engine pattern bezel and convex dial. The slightly later case is probably around 1870, has been refinished, and the top cornice, which was originally a large "OG" molding has been replaced with a solid mahogany molding. The gilt dial surround is wood, and could be turned around to expose a natural surface. Movement is clean and running; keeps good time. Height 62 inches
