C.1890, French, Patinated White metal and marble mantel clock, a large spread eagle defending his perch of oak branches/acorns, the movement with black slate dial and raised gilt numerals, and with open escapement. Condition: the eagle is broken away from its base, now with a pin in the bottom to hold it in place; ribbon to right is just setting for foto, and the front left foot is missing. Rt foot is symmetrical and could be copied /re-cast for use on the left. Some roughness on marble. Perfect clock to copy in China. Very heavy. Width 20", ht 20"
