C.1870, L. F. and W. W. Carter, Bristol, Conn, Round Drop Wall Calendar, double dial, perpetual calendar, in a rosewood case, with 16" time dial (chapter) and 12" calendar dial, 2-wt time, bezel dia = 22".

Condition: overall very good original condition: there are some scratches and flaked paint loss on the dial, but still quite good. Hands, pendulum, weights, hardware original, no key for door locks (p-stick renewed). Lewis calendar has label and dial is xlnt. Note Millers Survey of American Calendar clocks shows this model on page 63. It also came in a narrower version with 14" chapter and 10" calendar. Both use E. N. Welch upside-down movement. Note dial pan is nearly 18" and some call this an 18" dial. Ht 57"
