C.1886, French, "R. E. D." Cylinder or Drum shaped carriage clock, 1-fusee, two-plane lever, brass case consisting of a front and rear bezel separated by 6 turned pillars and a cylinder shaped glass allowing full of the rare movement. Porcelain dial bears the name: J. H. Hewitt, 308 High St, Lincoln. Condition: the front outer bezel took a bump and the brass is distorted in one spot. The unusual platform is intact and the clock is running. Porcelain dial is xlnt and hands are original. There is a shutter on the rear for wind and set.
