Bibby, Carnarvon [Wales], 2-Wt, 8-day tall case with animated dial, a monkey swinging from tree to tree to avoid a lion with "blinking eyes", in a wide mahogany case typical of the North country in England. Condition: the dial has been repainted, with spandrel areas showing an elephant, hyena, lion and lioness, with a relieved area in the arch displaying the money, attached to an extension wire from the verge. The plinth has 2 dry splits and there are some small veneer chips here and there, but overall in good condition with original finish. Ht 93"
