C.1905, English, ELLIOTT, LONDON, for Tiffany and Co., New York, 2-Wt, Rolling moon tall clock, mahogany waisted, broken arch case with beveled glass in door, gong strike. Condition: complete, but needs some restoration: center finial has tip cracked, right return molding under hood fell off and has some nail holes, some of the wreath carving on the plinth is missing; lock missing from lower door. Brass/gilt dial is well made with fretted brass spandrels; but silvered portions of dial have oxidation and rolling moon is flaking. Heavy and robust movement could stand a good cleaning. Weights and pendulum very good. Ht 98" [8ft-2]
