Condition: this is an exceptional early Howard, made just after Davis left the establishment, and the movement is the earlier trapezoid design, with maintaining power and Graham's dead beat escapement, prominently signed E. Howard and Co., Boston. The large iron weight with a "1", travels in a baffled chamber. The original 11" dial has some scrapes and loss, but is still excellent. Tablets with only minor losses are excellent. Pend tie-down intact. We have seen only one other of this model previously. Ht 51"
