C.1820, Bates (Jos), Huddersfield, oak cased time and bell strike tavern clock with 14" painted dial; week duration.

23 October 2024
Condition: the dial is flaking quite a bit and will perhaps need some stabilizing. The robust bell strike movement has been professionally cleaned and re-strung and is running briskly. The case has an old finish, but probably not original; the bezel at top has a horizontal dry split. The bell and hammer extend out a hole in top of case and there is an old hinged tin cover that has been fashioned to keep dust out of the case. Ht 51"
