Condition: Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in very nice as found condition with an old baked finish from having been stored in an attic. Gilt columns have some flaking and look now to be gold painted. Original wood dial is very clean. Hands are original. Bone escutcheon on the bottom door is missing. Bone escutcheon on the top door is missing also, but is now has a small brass cover. Tablets are not original. Movement is one of Ives' earlier units, tapering in at top with side extension for warning levers; this movement can be found in 1830 Brooklyn model wagon springs as well. Ht. 38"
