C.1904, Ansonia Clock Co., "ELITE", gilt white metal mantel clock, with fancy open escapement dial, 8-day, gong striking.

Condition: overall very good original condition. There is some lifting of the gilding on the rear and other minor losses, but it is overall quite good. Has a large round movement with rack strike (mov't is dirty). Creamy dial with red decorations between numerals. For reference, see Ly's book on Ansonia clocks, page 385. Cast into the case are fishers in the front, a hunter and dog one side and family consolation on the other. Ly 2004 price guide = $1250. Ht 15.5"
