gilding on the case has been professionally restored, and it is bright and smooth. Dial glass is old, but the reverse painting is modern. Period dial pan has been repainted by the Dial House (sticker on rear). Mirror is modern. Backboard appears to have been replaced, or at least refiinished. Hands are period. Grand piano style plate brass movement is by Abbott. A picture of this movement can be found in: "Willard's Patent Time Pieces" by Paul Foley, pg 64. Weight and rods will be removed for shipment. Height 41.25 inches
