refinished case has some stress cracks on the curved top from expansion of the underlying wood. Rear door has a couple of veneer repairs. It appears that the brass hinges on the rear door and the bracket feet have been replaced (proper English stock replacements). The robust fusee movement retains original chains and has fine border engraving around the edge of the rear plate. The painted dial has general loss and wear at the winding holes; numerals have been touched up, and someone has stenciled on /crooked/ the name: Cade and Robinson, London. Height 15 inches
