Austrian, Viennese timepiece, 8-day, 1-wt, in a late Biedermeier case, 2-piece dial and cast bezel. C. 1860. bottom 3 finials are replacements and not the proper design. A 3" portion of molding is absent from bottom. Grommet for winding hole is absent. Engraved weight is later. Otherwise this is a good old Vienna with nice rosewood veneer on the back and with what appears to be the original carved top, and good hand-made movement. There are no extra holes in the back at the mounting brkt. Hands, cast bezel and 2-pc brass pendulum are all original. Height 41 inches
