Barnes, Bartholomew and Co., Bristol, Conn, triple deck shelf clock, 2-wt, 8-day, time and gong strike, carved column and splat with paw feet, mahogany. C. 1835. case has been refinished and a small veneer repair to the base board. Right front foot has had repair to outer toe. Both tablet glass appear to be original, but now repainted. Original painted dial has minor loss. Sliding mirror in dial is a replacement. Hands are original with a repair to the minute hand. The heavy strap movement is original, but someone has added material to the winding barrels to increase diameter (can be removed on disassembly). Height 37 inches
