very good original condition; movement needs only cleaning, however is ticking and chiming now. The quarter chime tune is played on 4 large flat wire gongs, and the hours are struck on a 5th deeper toned gong; robust movement barely fits in case. Mahogany case in rounded Gothic pattern with canted corners; there is a small scar on the base molding and another on one side that has been filled in with stain, noticeable only on close inspection. Height 12 inches
