Condition: Partially stripped walnut case with a little damage at the very top piece. Original paper dial has age darkened with wear. Hands, pendulum and tablet are original. Case has an unusual alarm that runs in place of the strike side of the movement rather than having a separate small movement. The alarm is set to the silent mode by a button on the side of the case, working through a flat spring. This looks to be a variation of "Winward's" new eight-day railway "alarum", converted in England; we have sold these before, this one with slightly different shut off, and absent Winward label. As long as you shut if off after 2 minutes, the alarm can be wound weekly. Movement is signed ST. Height 23 inches
