Eli Bartholomew and Co., Bristol, Conn., C.1833, 30-hour time/strike wood movement, carved half column and splat shelf clock. refinished mahogany veneered case in nice clean condition with some veneer loss and repairs on the base. A small piece is missing on the left carved column. Original painted dial is pretty clean for its age with some wear to the gilding and minor paint loss. Hands are original; tip to minute hand is short. Top glass is old, now held in place with wood strips. Bottom glass is a reverse-painted replacement. Label is dark with losses through mfg name, but enough remains to determine the maker. Running. Ht 34"
