Ansonia Clock Co. New York, C.1906, "GLORIA", swinging arm timepiece, 8-day. Note this clock is as-found, for a plumber came to check the furnace last week and caught his tool apron on the brass support for the ball. He grabbed the ball but the brass support broke away clean with Gloria's hand. Apparently not wanting to discuss his actions, he put the broken support into his apron and said there was no damage. This turned brass rod is available from Timesavers.com, and a reasonable repair can be effected. the statue retains original bronzed patina, deteriorating and with about 20% loss.
