this clock has a lot of potential for the right Welch collector. The top center finial belongs on the side as an inverted finial (you need to make another and replace the 2 incorrect ones that are in place), then you need to copy the very top rt or left finial (both are original) for the center top. If the cabinet maker had seen a Welch book, he would have known what to do in restoring this, but he only guessed. Mov't is good, label on back with some loss, but still generally good and pendulum is outstanding. Finish is original; never stripped, gilt trim door glass perfect; rear dust paper intact. Estimate is based on condition. Ht 24"
