overall very good to excellent original condition. There are some nicks and scrapes to the case, and minor areas where the original finish has deteriorated, however it is overall excellent. The dial has age darkened and has a water stain along the bottom margin (what appear to be streaks are light reflections). Henry S. Prentiss developed his now famous "thrasher" calendar system from 1891 to 1897. Details on Prentiss can be found both on the internet, and in Ly's book titled Calendar Clocks, pages 216-221. Ht. 47"
