Caldwell, Philad'a, C.1895, large yellow marble portico clock, with 4 free standing columns, each with Corinthian capitals, and the frontal surfaces with ormolu Greek figures, and with an 8-day gong striking mov't No. 5457. there is a large chip on top right corner and other smaller abrasions and chips. Has a quality movement by the best Paris firm, and the Caldwell signature is clear and strong on the perfect porcelain dial. Number on pend matches mov't number. Very well made and worth restoring the marble. Also heavy, suggest courier delivery. Ht 17.6"
