French, Japy Freres Paris crystal regulator retailed by John Wanamaker Philadelphia - New York 8 day time and strike spring driven mvt stamped 'MADE IN FRANCE' and also stamped with Japy Freres and John Wanamaker marks in brass case on onyx base with bun feet and onyx top with beaded accent. The Arabic numeral porcelain dial with gilded engine turned bezel, has retailers name. Two vial (mercury) pendulum is orig and intact, c1900 good running order, the onyx case is in very good condition with only two minor flakes in base and no splits. The front glass has one small flake in upper right hand corner, the right hand glass has small areas of loss / chips in two different corners and the rear glass has the tiniest chip in the bottom right hand corner.
