this case has been nicely polished to a high sheen. There is no evidence [no holes] to indicate it ever had a top, however there is a vacant hole in the base where it had a bottom finial. The movement has been cleaned and polished to the highest standards and is in good running order. Mov't is on a slide mount, always been that way; 2 misc stray holes in case back. Dial is perfect and hands are original. The rt side glass is loose inside case, and it appears just slightly too wide to fit in the slot. Ht. 44"
